WINTER OPERATIONS ORDINANCE

The winter operations parking ban will be in effect from November 15th-March 15st on town roads between the hours of 2 am. to 6 am. This ban is to facilitate plowing, snow removal and sanding. The ban is in effect regardless of whether or not it is actually precipitating during those hours.

WINTER PARKING BAN (when necessary)

In the event an additional parking ban is necessary for snow removal or sanding purposes vehicles must be off town roads until the ban ends.

Off street overnight (1 night) parking is available at the Howard Street, Oak Street Municipal and Footbridge parking lots.

Winter parking ban hours are announced similarly to school cancellations. They are announced on TV, radio and even local scanners. Any questions regarding winter parking bans should be directed to the Police Department at 633-2451.

The Police Department and Public Works ask the public’s cooperation in helping keep the streets safe by observing the parking ban/ordinances so that the Public Works can effectively clear the streets in a timely manner.
